Where is Redbanks?
Redbanks is in the South East of Tasmania. The nearest town is Sorell, 24km (or approx 20 minutes) by gravel road. Hobart Airport is approximately 30 minutes from Redbanks, and Hobart city is about 45 minutes journey.
What do I wear?
Sturdy and comfortable footwear is essential. Warm, wet weather gear can also make the difference to bad day or a good day if the weather turns nasty.
Do I have to be fit to do the activities?
A person of any level of fitness can participate in Redbanks activities.
Can children come along?
Children are welcome and can participate with the approval and supervision of their parents or carers.
Can I bring my own gear?
All equipment is provided, but you can bring your own fly or lure rods if desired. High quality fishing gear is here for you to use, as are top class Beretta firearms and clay target traps. Redbanks has a dealers licence for both ammunition and firearms.
Do I need any licences?
No licences are required, either for fishing or shooting.
Can packages be arranged?
Any combination of activities, catering and group size can be accommodated. Please talk with us for details.
Can transport be arranged for me?
If you cannot make your own way, we can organise bus transport for your group. Prices will vary according to the size of the group.
Is there any accommodation on site or close by?
There are accommodation options in Sorell, Port Arthur and Hobart, as well as along the East Coast of Tasmania. See our links page for places to stay.
What about campervans, caravans etc? Can we stay at Redbanks?
Participants at Redbanks who have self contained camper vans are welcome. There is a small fee for an overnight stay.
